Every product, including the boring ones, is built on the same constraints: no ads, no data resale, collect as little as the feature needs. Where we can, we build so the data never reaches us at all — the safest data is data never collected.
We try to make a positive contribution whenever the project allows it. Some projects allow a lot. Some are just good software solving an ordinary problem, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Dooplin is not a non-profit and doesn't play one on the internet. Profitability is what protects the constraints above: no ad revenue means no reason to surveil, and no investors means nobody can make us start.
